What I'm seeing is people trading up from the 6D to the 5DIII - if not going straight to the 5DIII, that is. The biggest issue with the 6D is not the deficient specs or the primitive AF system but the consumer ergonomics. It's a killer for pros but also for enthusiasts. Not sure what Canon was thinking. Consumer are not spending $2K for a camera, so why the consumer ergonomics ![]() Overall, the 6D seems to exist only to upsell people to the 5DIII and to stop people from switching to Nikon. The 6D sensor is super good, though. No argument about that. I upgraded from the 60D to the 6D. Done and done. Love it! My name is James ~ Gear

Consumer ergonomics? Nonsense! I bought this camera and from what I can tell from perusing numerous forums I'm far from the only one. This camera takes fantastic unequaled pictures for 2K. Dave

As an ex-5D2 owner, it's every bit as well built as the 5D2 was. Sure, it has a polycarbonate top, but it has to for the wifi and gps. All this talk about consumer ergonomics is silly. 6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.

I came from 60D so the size is perfect, I like how you've been sold on the bigger is better, it's not.
