You don't need to expose correctly with the D600 anymore! underexposing is the new thing

No doubt, the shadow recovery on the d600 is fantastic.

It seems a lot of Canon 5DMKIII owners are very upset about the 6D.

Don't know how you arrived at this conclusion.
What I'm seeing is people trading up from the 6D to the 5DIII - if not going straight to the 5DIII, that is.

The biggest issue with the 6D is not the deficient specs or the primitive AF system but the consumer ergonomics.
It's a killer for pros but also for enthusiasts.

Not sure what Canon was thinking.
Consumer are not spending $2K for a camera, so why the consumer ergonomics ???.

Overall, the 6D seems to exist only to upsell people to the 5DIII and to stop people from switching to Nikon.
The 6D sensor is super good, though. No argument about that.

I upgraded from the 60D to the 6D. Done and done. Love it!

Really? Consumer ergonomics? Nonsense! I bought this camera and from what I can tell from perusing numerous forums I'm far from the only one. This camera takes fantastic unequaled pictures for 2K.

Loving the images but miss the joystick. As an ex-5D2 owner, it's every bit as well built as the 5D2 was. Sure, it has a polycarbonate top, but it has to for the wifi and gps. All this talk about consumer ergonomics is silly.

Your right apart from the everything bit.

Also your forgetting the 5d was initially a 20d beefed up, just like the 6d is a 60d beefed up.

Its a hugely capable camera if you have a clue. These are all in the last week or so.

I'm a consumer. I spent $2000 on this camera. I came from 60D so the size is perfect, I like how you've been sold on the bigger is better, it's not.

No one with a 6D has upgraded to a 5DIII.

CYA BYE

Jorkata afik hasnt posted a single photo to this board as far as I can see.

He is always criticizing canon gear too.

Have to wonder where the problem lies.

The built-in AF beam is fine until you try to grab a shot of wildlife in low light and they spook when the beam fires up.

...

Or your subject is just too far away for an assist beam to work.
