Kaotic Lazagna Senior Member 339 posts Joined Feb 2012 More info | First copy I got of my Sigma 30mm f1.4 (didn't buy from Adoroma tho). Lens looked like it was used with a lot of dust inside (supposed to be new). It had a horrible front focus issue too: Contacted the place I ordered it from, and exchanged for another. Second copy was clean with exception of two lint specs inside that is hard to find and doesn't affect the pics. Still have a front focus issue. I sent this one to Sigma for calibrations (been great ever since I got it back [no test pics saved after getting it back]): Canon T2i / 18-55mm kit lens / Sigma 30mm f1.4 / Canon 85mm f1.8 / Canon 100mm f2.8

I really despise having to send off my lens to have it adjusted. That said I really want to buy a 35 1.4 and 85 1.4 but the stigma still prevents me from purchasing.

Order one a month or two before absolutely needing it. If it's off, then send it to Sigma to have it calibrated. It's worth it if you don't want to spend the premium for the canon equivalents.
