The 24LII is an amazing lens. I got lucky and got a real sharp copy. How is your 50L? I'm not getting the same results I'm getting with sharpness of 24L and 85L.

You might have the only tack sharp copy.

50L can be "sharp". But when I compare it to my 24 and 85, the 50 is the least sharp of the bunch.

But I knew that going in and I like the photos taken with it and that's what matters.

the first copy i got was fuzzy, B&H changed it for me and i couldn't be more happy... if its exposed correctly its razor sharp at 1.2

had some copys of the 1.2L coming and going the last few years, and i just can't say that i had a razor sharp one. they were all pretty soft wide open. i like 50mm and for me the L is still my favorite of the bunch, i like how it renders and the bokeh is just sweet... the 50L isnt known for it's sharpness, and that's just because there are sharper lenses out there.
