Really nice Vinz. Nicer than what I remember getting in grade school.

Thanks CJ...

Vincent, that looks awesome. I'd like to know more about what your doing. I kind of want to get into school photography.

Thanks.

I just know somebody from the PTO. I suggest learn who are those people in your school. and give them your proposal. I kinda looked at the prices of Creative Imaging and lifetouch. lowered mine and the PTO likes it.

I get help from PTO volunteers as my assistants so no overhead there.

Hello 60D users and friends! I was wondering if someone could point me to the right direction with a good memory card for a 60D that isn't too pricey. So far I know I need a class 10, but there's too many different brands, and then there's some that are 30MB/s vs 45MB/s, etc. I currently have 2 memory cards but I'm almost pretty sure they are not original, and one of them is not readable by my computer now.. And also, does anyone purchase from Amazon? Wondering if it's safe to get one and won't end up being fake, like it could on eBay.
Thanks!

Cheers,
Nora

Purchase from Adorama or BandH if you want to make sure you get a real one.

I really like the Sandisk 32gig UH-1 cards. They won't run faster on the 60D, but the newer models will as they come out.

I've been using a Sandisk 32gb Extreme and it's been great. They could be found around $30 too.

Wow, I have quite a few :D MDH bags, and I've never had any issues from the strap rubbing. On the other hand, I always use a shoulder pad on the larger bags. So there's my suggestion: pick whatever bag you want, then get a good shoulder pad for it. I'm a big fan of the Crumpler shoulder pad (about $20 from most stores) and some of the Timbuk2 ones are nice, too. They all have nice rounded edges and distribute the weight a little more evenly, so should prevent the issue you had.

Yeah, I was quite surprised when I pulled my jacket out the next day! See attached.

Thanks for the tip on looking for a separate shoulder pad. I hadn't even thought of that.

Oh well, the 6 MDH seemed to be an odd fit anyway. The velcro on the dividers was so sticky, it drove me up the wall trying to reposition them the way I wanted. And the bag itself didn't seem to open wide enough to dig around in there. Just seemed cramped. I was surprised by all this; most seem happy with theirs.

P.S. I did enjoy shooting with my 17-55 that day. All the glass in the buildings reminds me I need to buy a polarizing filter!

Oh I just realized that my other SD card is a transcend class 10 8gb and it writes just as quickly as my sandisk.

the 60D cannot make use of cards with faster transfer speeds over 30mb/s so the Sandisk Extreme 30mb/sec is what I use.

That being said - your computer "can" make use of the faster transfer speeds (30mb+++) so you have options.

I think the 6D is the first Canon dslr to be compatible with the higher speed cards...
