Looks like BuyDig dropped their price to $2499, and now B&H lowered to match.

At BuyDig you get a free copy of PhotoShop/Premiere Elements 11.
At B&H you also get a free bag and 32GB Transcend SD card.

CPW says this is the lowest price ever for this camera kit:

It's a fairly good deal; sell the lens for $700 and you get the 6D for $1800.

Not bad.

$2699@adorama.

Adorama used to be cheaper than B&H but not lately; Both are good companies though, so is BuyDig.

What was the price for this kit when it was first released?

I think the list supposed to be $2899 but, even before start shipping, it went down to $2699

Yen is dropping. I beleive the demand of DSLR is not as strong as before. Economy is still weak, competition and choices increased significantly. Hope we will see more price drop soon.

Eventually it will come down to $1500. Are you planning to wait?

It's the buyer's decision. Someone will take the time if it should happen soon.

It's not a camera I would buy. So no I am not going to wait. But to frame it correctly, it depends on how fast it will come down and how soon you need the camera.

With the new financial and fiscal policies from the new Japanese gov't, the price of Japanese luxury products, such as camera and lenses, should be expected to keep falling imho.

I would not say it will be down to 1500 any time soon, but with the upcoming spring rebate program and the yen/dollar exchange rate trend, there is a chance it will go down couple hundred dollars more in a month or two. Well, just my humble wild guess. Nothing is for sure.

Worth to wait or not? Ask yourself. Not me.

If you subtract 700 for lens and 50 for the accessories current price is 1750. Couple of hundred dollars by spring will make it +/-$1550.

I see. So, it's not far from there.
