Hate to say it but I got a friend that has a 60d and we go shooting together a few times a year. He has no idea what he is doing with his gear and wont accept help from someone that has "a cheap T3". When I show him pictures I took he wants to know what presets in LR I am using and my tricks lol. Comes down to a Pro can take better images with a T3 then a newbi with a pro body.

Its a tool, learn how to use it correctly to do your job and your set. Sure better newer bodies would be great but not everyone has the money or the need.

The T3 is a fantastic entry level DSLR, I am sure tons of people started with a Rebel body before moving up in the world of canon bodies.

I have found the glass makes a bigger difference then the body as well. When I first started I was so worried I had a cheap T3 now I am happy keeping my cheap T3 and putting my money into some better glass. Then when the body is limiting me I will upgrade it.

Same boat as you, so many other things $1000 needs to go to before a new lens :(

I upgraded to the Tamron SP70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD; after 100.00 rebate was only 379.00 and free shipping! There is a thread here on POTN about this lens. The image quality is amazing for a great price. I just got mine on December 24th....loving it!!

Joining this thread. I too bought the T3 bundle because of the amazing price during Black Friday last year. Some samples so far.
