It's unbelievable. I will share my photos later. I started a thread asking for pointers... and I've kind of hidden the fact I went for litigious reasons. My photos are on a dummie Flickr account, This actually happens a lot apparently. One of the questions on the census was "Did you lie to someone about coming here?"

The even is freaking crazy though. Just don't get too wrapped up in being a part of it to not take any pictures. I took very few. 100 or so. Hating myself for it now.

That's what I said. It's easy to get caught up in all the lying around, drinking, chilling and all around weird stuff. You are 100% cut off from the outside world. I'll do better next time though.

I loved that video! This is why I'm so looking forward to getting a DSLR with video recording.

The video is awesome!! The event looks really cool also.

I was kinda disappointed there were no burning ants.

Plenty of Aussies there though -- had a couple in our camp!

Black rock burners.
There is allot of nudity, and lots of little kids checking out the naked people.
This kind a bothers me.

They make a giant man out of wood then burn him down.

I think it is 400.00 for a ticket now, and needs to be bought in advance.
It is very hot and dry on the black rock dessert, and there are thousands of dust devils the twist along the desert floor.

This is also where the worlds land speed record was made.
and a alternate space shuttle landing site.
Part of the southern Oregon trail goes right through the black rock dessert.
On the edge of the black rock dessert was the town ghost town of Sulphur NV.

South east of the black rock dessert is where the red hair giants were found were found.

If anyone wants to photograph the giants skull , one of them is in the Winnemucca nv
museum, but you have to ask to see it they do not display it.

There's not allot, nor a lot. And there are very few children to begin there with. A few might get an eye ful, but in the big picture, not that many.

$400 - expensive event but lots of photo ops

I find the cost of the ticket cheap considering it's a week long event. Fuji Rock here costs more, and it's only 2.5 days.

You also cannot spend any money once you get there (save for coffee and ice). So for booze, you're only paying what you spent at a store. Not something astronomical that most venues charge.
