My family (myself, husband, and 1 year old daughter) plus about 8 of my husband's family, all went on a 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico last week and just got back yesterday. By far, my favorite part of the trip was dolphin watching. We saw a pod of 100+ Common Dolphins! This was my first time photographing dolphins with anything other than a point and shoot. I'm also trying out my first watermark so tell me what you folks think about it. Enough babbling, now onto pictures!

Beautiful shots! Excellent color, crisp, and composition. I personally like the small and inconspicuous watermarks because it doesn't take away from the photograph. Also, I do small inconspicuous watermarks because if someone steals the photo and posts it on another site, I could be able to tell the site exactly what my watermark says and where it's located. But that's just my opinion. :D

I'd rather be shooting!

Thanks so much!! I had a blast taking these pictures. There is nothing like being eye to eye with wild dolphins. I tried slightly bigger less transparent watermarks, but it didnt quite work with the pic.

That's kind of what I was thinking, too. :D The watermarks are readable if you're looking for them, but not completely obvious. This is a temporary watermark, as I will be making a prettier one eventually as I get better at gimp.

Wow, great catch on the first one with the dolphin actually leaving the water, talk about spot on timing!
