Very true....Tamron isn't out to gouge everyone on price. I have rented both the Canon and Tamron and to say there is $1000 difference in these lenses would be totally wrong.

Normally nothing more, after getting tired of 16-35 I, II, 17-40 f4L I finally ended up with a decent UWA, the Tokina 16-28 2.8, normally my first & last lens of this year :-D

I've been holding off on getting something in the 400mm range because of persistent rumors that a new 100-400 might come out. I have a trip to the Galapagos coming up in 2014, so if they don't come out with it soon I'll have to pull the trigger anyway. Trying to decide between the Canon 100-400, the Sigma 150-500, and the Sigma 50-500.
