Getting settled in with the 6d now, here's a pic of the wife Snow blowing the drive.

My wife just bought one of these, can't wait to see how it handles compared to the 5D3.

Let us know, I am debating between 6D and MKii at the moment.

We were trying to decide on that as well actually before we settled on the 6D.

Really the biggest "downgrade" the 6D has vs. the 5dII that we could see is the 1/4000th max shutter speed. That aside, the 6D is better in pretty much every way, not to mention being an almost 5 years newer design. So if you can live without 1/8000th max shutter speed the choice should be easy IMO.

This. And it seriously is a non-issue. If you need to shoot wide open in direct sunlight, buy a ND filter. I debated it briefly, but after reviewing the 6D's dynamic range improvement and noise performance it's a no brainer. The 6D high ISO images are very clearly better than the 5Dmk2's. I love that the 6D's noise just looks like film grain, there's very little banding in the shadows, awesome!

I shot a Rodeo at night with my 60D. There is a reason I got the 6D. It's a tremendous challenge shooting fast action in a poorly lit arena with pulsating lights to boot!

That is one thing, but I rarely use that high, maybe only sunny day with a 1.8 or so but if thats the case can use ND. I was messing with both of them in the local store and did find the mkii to feel a little more ergonomic in my hands. Easier for me to hit all switches on mkii being that its a little bigger. But I do like that it is a little smaller for when I travel

Hi guys, I just got my 6D today and I am in love! When I first got my 7D it was a real love hate relationship, it took me 6 months to really love it but the 6D it took me 6 minutes! :-)

I have been reading this thread through from the start for weeks and finally got to the end on the day I got my 6D. I was waiting for the 24-70 combo but when it was taking so long to get here (ordered on Boxing Day) the shop offered me the 6D and the sigma 24-70 f2.8 instead so at went for it and it worked out $200 cheaper so I was happy with that. Has anyone used this combo?

I don't get the lens for a couple of days so I have only had a play today with the 40mm and the 70-200f/4 but in awe of the low light capabilities and the dynamic range is awesome!

I don't think there is one awful photo in here, they are all just superb! Looking forward to being a part of this thread and will post some pictures soon.

Can I just upload from photo bucket?

Congrats on getting your 6D - sounds like it took you a little longer to fall in love with it than it did for me, but that's ok

You can use Photobucket and link here, no issues, just read image posting rules first (stickied at top of every sub-forum) if you haven't already.

I am sure someone will chime in on the lenses - I don't have one so can't help there, just wanted to say congrats on the camera.
