This was taken this past Saturday in Southwest Oklahoma. This is the only angle I got of it.

Savannah Sparrow - love the contrast with the yellow lichens. There are a lot of subspecies of Savannah Sparrows and many do NOT have that little yellow spot on the supraloral region that many field guides show.

What part of Oklahoma? Wichita Mountains by chance? I grew up in Noble, Oklahoma.

lhoy, Thanks. I was thinking Savannah Sparrow, but wanted confirmation since it doesn't have the yellow spots.
