that also requires USB, you need to connect the camera via USB to a computer, then control it via a ipad withing the same network your computer and connected camera share.

says on their site :

Requirements

An Android device with an ARMv7-A or newer CPU architecture (virtually all 1ghz+ devices)
Not rooted: Android 3.1 or higher with USB host kernel+API support
Rooted: Android 2.3.1 or higher with USB host kernel support

Supported Canon EOS DSLR
The correct USB adapter, if applicable, Do correct me if i am wrong but Canon 5dmkiiis only can USB connectivity for control of a 5d3, unless you dish out allot of money for a Canon wifi adapter, its bulky too. Atleast according to the instructional video he says you need a on the go cable.

But yes its what you have to do with a Canon 5dmkiii and canons app, but you will also have optional time lapse, control over speed lights, light meters etc etc the while studio works

That app works by plugging a USB cord from the camera into your phone or tablet. Some tablets have a full size USB port (Toshiba Thrive, Asus Transformers), while others (phones) require an "On the Go" cable adapter.

^^Correct. I use dslrcontroller (rarely) but it does connect to my galaxy nexus and my motorola xoom via on the go (OTG) cable to micro usb. Very nice app. Just fired it up and noticed it does have wifi support. Cool! Would love speedlite control though!

PLEASE can someone answer this question?

Is it even remotely possible to control a Canon 5D Mark III via:

  1. A standard wireless USB device (not the WFT-E7A)
  2. A standard USB bluetooth device
