Took a walk around Watermead yesterday and spotted this gorgeous German Shepard with a little snow on his nose.

This is one of the first shots with my recently acquired 2nd hand: Canon 70-200 f2.8 lens. To say I'm pleased with how this came out is an understatement!

Beautiful dog and great photography! Out of curiosity, did you increase the clarity/ sharpness on the pooch, or was this straight out of the camera? I know the 70-200's are famous for their clarity.

Whole image looks over sharpened. Its better to do selective sharpening so you dont bring the noise so visible. And never sharpen after you insert your watermark.
Great looking dog and great looking image but I would be more careful with the sharpening

Some clarity was added in Lightroom yes with some of the shadows on the dog being lightened a little to bring out the detail. For sharpness see below...

I applied blanket sharpening to the whole image when it was exported from Lightroom as I do with all my images. Now that you mention it, I think it is probably set a little high. Watermark was added as apart of the export process

Thanks for all your feedback!
