I am searching for a similar thread but I can't find one. I only saw some individual post.

I wonder if we will start a headshot thread with some description of lighting setup, basic exif and lens used.

If there is already a thread like this, please take this thread off and show me the link.

i think its pretty easy to tell lighting setup in head shots by looking at the catchlights.

anyhow. i'll start:

both these were with an 85mm, two umbrellas, one bounce for the main light once shoot through for fill.

nice. keep it coming guys. The main purpose of this thread is sharing and learning at the same time. Learn each others technique.

Mike i agree with you when you said it's easy to analyze where the lights are in headshot. So it's gonna be up to the posters if he'll/she'll share the setups.

Mine are all naturally lit. Nothing fancy, just using elements in the environment to add depth through molding the direction of the ambient light.

*Disclaimer* I shoot a lot of children, so a lot of these may not be what are considered 'traditional' head shots. Figured I'd toss them into the mix anyhow.

Thank you!! 99% of my work is all natural light, yes. I have recently begun experimenting a bit with OCF, so there are a few ocf shots thrown in as well. ;)
