I picked up a 70-200 f2.8 mkII and when I got hit home, I did my unboxing, I noticed a plastic bag was already removed and balled up to the side. Then I noticed two very teeny tiny paint nicks on the lens. Very small, you would have to get close and look hard to find it. And when I look through the lens at a light, without camera attached, i can see a bright speck in the middle center of the lens barrel.
Should L lenses be free of dust and specks? and from looking at the sale section of this thread, nicks and such are looked down upon when trying to sell a lens.
Im worried the lens has been returned, or handled a few times in the store.
Am i being nuts over this or should I ease my mind and return for exchange? I got 30 days for refund, and I've had it 2 weeks, but have not used it other than taking a few shots in the house.
thanks for the feedback.
