PLA: Prime Lovers Anonymous

I am definitely a member.... currently have the 28 1.8, 50 1.4, 85 1.8 and the 15 2.8 fish

Within the next month or so, I'm planning to move to a 50L from the 1.4 and add the 135L. Still debating on whether I turn my 24-105 into a 35L and make the move to go "All Prime, All the Time."

The next step will be "L Prime Everytime"

I bought a 135L and that was the fatal blow in my relationship with my zooms, I now own 50L and she is hard work at times but can be stunning, when I want a cuddle I go to my trusty ol girl the 85L and she can produce images like this -

Can't give up my zooms completely (I only have 2) but I have acquired a taste of prime joy and have a problem...I either want REALLY wide or REALLY long!

135L was what did me in. After that my 24-70 2.8L had to go for a 35mm 1.4L. I've been ogling the 85 1.2L, but haven't mustered up the stones to drop $2k on it yet. =)

You should check out the 85 1.8 thread, really great lens if you can live without the red stripe

Had one and sold it as I couldnt get it adjusted correctly but it felt solid and well made

It really is worth sending in to get adjusted. You'll get it back and fall in love.

my 40mm and 50mm are my dirty little prime pleasures. I'm also looking at an 85mm 1.8 and possibly a 135mm 2.8 sf. My zooms almost never come out anymore.
