Cool shot, this is something I was wanting to give a go. I had thought about doing it on a railway track (Quiet countryside railway track - not busy city centre one!)

Amazing pictures everyone. I'm so impressed by the examples in this thread that I just picked up this lens yesterday. Hoping to post in this thread soon.

These have been posted in the mono section, but I thought they would fit in here as well

Here are three shots taken in the same place, Burnham Overy Staithe in Norfolk UK.

All were taken handheld standing in water or quicksand! I could almost class them as movies as I was sinking when each one was taken :biggrin:

Processing was done with Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro.
The camera was a 1Ds2 and the lens, my favourite, a Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5 II.

1/250s @ f8 - 100iso

Scuff - again, great shots. On that very last one, do you remember any of the settings you used? I'm especially curious as to how much tilt you may have applied. I'm assuming it was downward tilt, but I'm just a neophyte right now!

Thanks Scud. I am about 6'2" tall, and when hand holding the camera, I need about 1.5 degrees of downward tilt to get my toes to infinity in the plane of focus. The last shot was taken about 1.5 feet off of the ground and the tilt angle was calculated at 3 degrees for an aperture of f10. Therefore everything from the chain to infinity fell within the plane of focus. I hope that helps.

I have it on my iPhone but tend to do it by eye. I have been using large format cameras and tilt shift lenses for longer than I care to mention though.

No app will get you 100%, you will always have to chimp some.

Scuff, do you focus near and tilt until far comes in or do you focus at hyperfocal and tilt until both near and far come in to sharper focus? There seems to be 2 methods when I read up on it
