Great shot; very creative way to use this type of filter!

The composition is NOT what I wanted but the monument is gated off due to construction. This was the best I could do for now, but I'll try it again another time. I also wanted more of a blue sky in with the moving clouds, but it wasn't happening on this particular trip.

30 sec. exposure using a B+W 10stop.

Not sure on the exact stops 'cuz I shoot with a variable ND filter, but I tend to max it out, so it should be around 8-10-ish...

For older optics, like the double glass, you can use 37mm step up rings to get to sizes of ND filters you have. If you use Sweet 35 or Edge 80 optics you'll need 46mm step up rings.

Here's one from today taken with the Big Stopper plus a Lee CPL/ 3 stop soft GND. 2 min exposure but I probably should have done it a bit longer...had to tweak the levels a bit more than I usually like to in Lightroom.

Interesting idea, the sky really sucks though...maybe try back on another day? It is a little too monotone for me.
