That's a POV I've not see before James. Where were you located for that one?

Great Shot BTW...

It was taken from the wrap around suite balcony at the Cosmopolitan hotel.

Here is the view from the other side of the balcony:

Getting used to my new 1D3..took it out for a drive this past Saturday...The gym my daughter Cheers for had a competition. My daughters team did not compete but I had fun settling into this awesome camera...A few of these are some moderate crops and after uploading, I notice the look right noisy?? The originals look pretty dang sharp, I don't know if its Photobucket or what...

Thanks very much. Colour/tone-wise, though not religiously so, my processing is influenced by cinema and movies. I make my own presets though while i have created quite a few they are only ever a starting point and are tweaked for each image set that I am working on. Lot's of great tutorials to get you started - check out this post for some tips also https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1094897.

Just one more question Rai33. You work magic with the 1D series. Do you use full frame bodies ? If so which one/s. The reason I ask is that you shoot portraits and obviously make a living from it. Just curious...... Thanks

Nope all 1D series in my bag as I need the framerate (which of course changes with the 1Dx but I'm not one to always update to the latest and greatest). You might get a little more DOF pop with zoom lenses on FF but for me using primes negates most of the advantage FF might have.
