I've hung out at the local Best Buy for the last two days straight (first time having my hands on a real life 6D). Pretty awesome from the limited experience of the 3ft cord. Way bigger viewfinder than the Rebels, MUCH better ISO handling, and even at the 8000-10000 iso range, the noise just seems more pleasant and not as intrusive as the 3200 noise on the t2i. And the size itself is better in my hands, never noticed how cramped all the T2i's buttons are on the tiny body.
Kind of actually glad that the 5dmk3 there didnt have a lens on it (well neither did the mk2, and the 7d was behind glass), so the only ones i had for comparison, were the t4i/t3i and the 6d. And the Nikon's but those are just alien to me (also, the D600's 39 autofocus point seem to cover just about as much area as the 6d's 11, no? i thought they'd cover like the whole viewfinder).
But yeah, good that I couldn't see the mk3's autofocus performance, because i really can't afford it right now, and would be redundant for me since i never shoot sports or any other heavy action, but wouldn't want to be lusting for it either way.
Sorry for the ramble guys

I know the feeling. I also have a T2i (550D) and I want to buy a Canon DSLR that gives me less noise @ high ISO. I also want the camera to be bigger (= more ergonomic than my T2i). I can, however, afford the 5D3. But I simply cannot justify its price since I only take about 100-200 pictures/year.
The problem is also that my ideal Canon camera is a combined 5D3/6D. I would LOVE to have the AF of the 5D3 together with its 100% viewfinder, but I also want to have the slightly better image quality of the 6D compared to the 5D3 and ESPECIALLY the built-in WiFi of the 6D so I can finally take selfportraits with my iPhone/iPad.
The thing of the 6D that constantly makes me have second thoughts is its AF. I'm still wondering how to follow the rule of thirds with it since the AF points are all located near the center. Only the most left and most right AF points seem valid for this, but then again they aren't crosstype points so I'm really scared they would become a major drawback.
Also wondering how the non-crosstype points of the 6D compare to the non-crosstype points of the T2i. Are they better in e.g. low light?
