If you had $10,000 to spend on equipment, what would you buy? (version 2)

Same here but I would trade a 16-35 for the 85/1.2. I like my 85/1.8. I am keeping my current gear in this fantasy.

Hello All,

I came across this thread

Rather than replying to the old thread I thought I'd start a new one, so we could see how people's wish lists had changed the past 18 months.

I regularly fantasize over what I would do if I came into a chunk of money.
Here is my list for (approximately) $10K.

- Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II
- Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM
- Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM
- Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L USM
- Canon EF 300mm f/4 L IS USM
- Canon Extender EF 1.4x III
- Gitzo 2531
- Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 sp
- Speedlite 600EX-RT
- Canon ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter

It adds up to $10454 with current B&H pricing.

Ummm . . . you're forgetting something. There is no body in your list! How are you going to use those lenses without any camera?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

When I came in to some money, I set $10k aside for photography. What I bought was

Used 200L IS for $5200
8-15L new
24mm f/1.4L II new
Manfrotto carbon tripod and head ~$350
LR4
Lee starter filter kit
Lee CP filter

All in all I spent about $9100. I guess if I was to spend the left over $900, I'd want to buy either a MP65mm, a used 90mm TS-E, or maybe on of the Sigma xx-500mm. Although, I am now thinking that I'd like to trade the 200L for a 500L or 600L. Not sure yet.
