now that my mind is set on the canon 6D, i'm just waiting for a big discount to seal the deal.

currently, i'm using camelizer to send me price alerts on the body.

Your number one source for price watching the 6d is slickdeals. Just google it. Make an account and set an alert to email you every time 'canon 6d' comes up, The canon price watch does not drill down on the price if the seller has agreed to post the manufactures advertised price - you need to see it in the cart. I wouldn't pay too much attention to peoples comments there, but for price cheeking it is spot on.

For the record I am in the same boat as you. Money is in the bank for the 6d + kit and about 4k in lenses. Just waiting.

You can also set a price alert on canonpricewatch. They will e-mail you when the in-cart price drops below your target. It is much better than the spam (and bad merchants) I get from the slickdeals price alerts. But I set both just in case.
