Just bought one through Beach via Amazon checkout... Free 1 day shipping, supposedly will get here Monday. $284? with 3 year extended USA warranty? I'll take it.

Might be selling my Pancake now.

I think the new version of the 30 will be out soon, especially if there's a run on the current model, and they sell out. I'm waiting for the new one.

This is a GREAT lens. For this price it's a steal. I got mine a couple months ago for $430 :-(

I had bought mine in Dec from B&H when they were $349 and thought that was a great deal, had to return the first one for an AF noise issue, although the focus was spot on. The replacement was perfect, and was processed by B&H less than 30 days ago. On a whim, contacted them with a polite message asking if they would price match to refund the $60 difference since they did the exchange as a return & repurchase, expecting them to say no, but they instantly said they would! Should see the refund next week, and end up with the lens for $289!

For $599 new, it is extremely hard to believe that the new sigma 30 will be 2x the lens the current one is. Even the 35L is only marginally better, and the sigma 35 is only slightly better than that by most accounts.

For under $300, the "old" Sigma 30 1.4 is a steal.

I agree the price is very, very good, and you're lucky to take advantage of it. But for this lens, and other upcoming primes, I'd like to have the docking feature. It's not just a new lens, it's a whole new paradigm in technology.

Wow, great price. When I was shooting crop I liked my copy of the Sig 30 better than the 35L. It did take 3 tries to get a good one. But when they are good they are really good.

I just tried to price match as well since I ordered the lens in December and no luck on the price matching for me.

I ordered mibe out of stock as well. Couldn't pass up this deal since I've been in the market for one for awhile now. B&H will get more stock in 3 days.
