Dang it. I was about to go to bed and now all I can think of is smashing my face full of hamburgers. :(

Macroshooter was lucky and purchased a copy of this shot for $35 way back when I was starting my business

The lowest price for the shot now, is $500.

I do remember that time! Glad to see you are making more money out of it now (or trying to!).

I loved your work back than and still admire it now. One of my favorite landscape shooter here on POTN.

Hey! It's my favorite guy who takes great portraits of hot Canadian women!

:)

Totally off topic, but my dang iPhone always types canon_liver when I try putting my screen name in. I also get search results for PORN when trying to type in POTN. That has lead to some embarrassing misunderstandings.

Hey 60Ders!

Remember I talked about my future western trip?

Well it's already going on, I left Montreal 20 days ago and I'm in Whistler currently, going to Vancouver soon.

You can follow a part of my trip in this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=15568668

I also post at least a picture daily on my Fb fan page --> www.Facebook.com/photodr.ca (external link)

Hope I will pass by some of you, would love shooting with other POTNers finally!

Have a good one! :)

I miss so many things posted in this thread.

Isn't Whistler just the most amazing place to get hammered drunk and stumble around?

It's like Disney Land for adults.

In case you know of anyone who is looking, the T4i is on super sale at Best Buy right now, 648.99 with the kit 18-55! (Oddly the body only is 647.99...so you pay $1 for the 18-55....) Looks like they are price matching with Amazon in a bit of a pricing war right now on their online site, which of course they honor in store. Personally I try to get things like cameras at a local store in case it has issues, and Best Buy is very good to me as far as exchanges/returns go.

Trying to convince my FiL to get one, but we'll see.

with specs and performance as the flagship Rebel now has, its getting to a point where it could be a back-up body. My current back-up is a G12 ... so the T4i would be a 'major' improvement ;-)a

It has a few features we don't even have :(

But it also lacks a few features that I wouldn't trade for anything.

Lack of big viewfinder, lack of top display, lack of back wheel. Those can easily be deal breakers.

I also never realized the convenience of 1/3 stops ISO and ability to change AF point with the directionals.

To name a few. Smaller battery, penta mirror, full stop auto ISO (which I use frequently as the 60D does a very good job with it at 1/3 stops), have to cycle through AF points, no single button access to some things like ISO (although maybe they are on the touchscreen as single button..? Can't use those through the viewfinder tho), no level, 1/4000 on the shutter..yeah it's lacking a few things, although it does have AF during video and some of the other nice features like the multi-exposure night shot that then does an in-camera noise cancelling (works really well on the S100). If I were looking at a 60D right now and a T4i, it would be hard to pass up the T4i at that price.
