i was looking for the post at:

https://photography-on-the.net …hp?t=1271135&goto=newpost

but it's not there anymore. was talking about 50% off crumpler at clymb. anyone know why the thread disappeared?

the clymb is legit right? i already placed an order and i find it strange that the thread is gone.

thanks.

Came up with this on Google (didn't read it). I'm sure there are more reviews on this retailer out there.

Maybe because the first link provided was an affiliate link, rather than just a link to the website. Not sure.

The Clymb is definitely legitimate. I've been buying stuff from there for a while. But their prices aren't necessarily that great, especially when they aren't running a shipping promotion. Often you can find the same stuff cheaper elsewhere online (maybe not in Crumpler's case).

ah okay thanks guys. yeah, i googled a bit too and it looks legit enough.

yeah, in this case i looked around and couldn't find any other sites offering the bags for less. got me their biggest backpack for $160! (marked down from $300).

they did quote a ship date almost a month from now. but i guess that's how they get the cheap prices.

thanks for the reassurance guys. :)

Yea, probably due to the affiliate link (although the OP did admit it was an affiliate link but rules are rules).

Anyway, never heard of it until now. I have the older version of the 7MDH with the clip down the middle instead two on each side. That was one complaint I had about it. The other is that, the bag is fine, just not big enough when I want to carry ALL my gear and 15" laptop.

So I bought the 8MDH for $98 shipped.

Looked around and couldn't find prices close to that.

Alpha - I'm in the same boat. Does the 8MDH hold a 15" laptop? I thought I read it only holds up to a 13".

Not 100% sure. I've searched and found evidence of people reporting that their 15" MBP fits. I have a XPS 15z which I think is just slightly bigger than a MBP so I'm hoping I'll be able to squeeze it in there.

TheClymb is definitely legit and I've bought a lot off of them. They sell in allocation lots (usually) with limited timeframes. They'll get good offers on good products, but for a limited timeframe, then its gone. You will tend to notice a pattern of some brands, however. Think of it like a much better Ross or Savers with more current lines and with tendancies towards the outdoorsman.

If you can read this, you don't need a macro | 7D + 5DIII + Waaaay too much spent....

Thanks. Will definitely have to try it out.

Worst case, I'll just sell it on ebay or something.
