Figured people used the Fuji system here just wanted to pass the info on.

I see nothing wrong with a friendly heads up. The classifieds imo are geared mostly towards Canon users looking for Canon related gear and a Fuji ad could get buried fast. Plus some of us might not even look at the classifieds. As long as it doesn't happen frequently, I don't mind. But I do understand why other people might not care for it.

Does anyone know if the Fotodiox adapters have focus confirmation chips? I have several Canon FD, Zeiss C/Y and M42 screw-mount lenses that I could use with this camera, but probably need focus confirmation.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

This is a 6 inch model. I edited out a stand which held it up.

Hoping to get some responses in here...

I'm getting tired of my 5D2. It's a superb machine that produces outstanding IQ, but the truth it I'm getting fed up of lugging around an extra cabin bag filled with 15 pounds of glass everywhere I go. I yearn for something more portable, and that could turn into something downright inconspicuous with the right lens.

I've never had the opportunity to try an X-E1 but on paper it seems like it would fit my needs quite satisfactorily. APC-C sensor, solid DR and ISO noise control, are most of the things I need. The 40mm equivalent pancake is due out soon. The 18-55 seems like a great little lens from the samples I've seen here and there. With any luck the telephoto lens will be a winner too.

I have a number of specific questions I'm hoping you guys can help me with:
1. How's the autofocus with the latest AF? Bear in mind I've learned to work with the 5D2's AF which doesn't have the best reputation out there.
2. What's the latest word on RAW conversion? I only shoot RAW, so if I can't use them I'll have a problem.
3. How's the viewfinder? Any noticeable lag or other faults?
4. How's the battery life?
5. Are there any very good adapted lenses that can fill in for the 55-200 if it turns out to be a dud?
6. Are there any other zooms (adapted) that I should consider for the wide-to-normal range?
7. What's the widest (non-native) lens usable on the system right now?

I'll ask this in Fuji-centric forums too but I'd appreciate the perspective of other Canon users as well...

There are a number of good reviews out there already. In general a great camera if your not shooting sports. I came from a 5D3 setup.

1. You need to learn to work with XE1's AF. It will be slower than the 5D2's center point in most cases ( and this is before firmware update. I dont have a chance to update the latest firmware which is supposed to improve the AF again). Accuracy of the AF points are very good. I dont see misfocus. But the AF point selection button is on the right side so you need time to get used to it.

2. From what I saw and read, the best Raw converter is Capture One. But I dont have it and I tend not to use raw when I shoot Fuji.

3. Viewfinder lag is obvious in lowlight. I dont find it's a problem to me. But many users don't like it.

4. Battery life is low comparing to DSLR. Expect you will get about 250-350 (depending on how you use the camera) per charge cycle You will want to buy multiple batteries.

5. 55-200 is coming out later this year... maybe as early as April. You can always buy adaptor to put other lenses on.

6. I only have 18-55 kit so I can't answer that question.

7. Widest non-native lens? Not sure what you are looking for but the new 14mm seems quite nice. Also Zeiss 12mm is coming out around April May. I am waing for the Zeiss lenses to come out in April/May. If everything is good I will buy the 12mm and 32mm.
