at one point I had 22 failures in a row- no flash output and no beep indicating they had fired and were ready for more. I finally switched to sync cord and only had 1 failure after that.

I replaced the battery in the skyport sending unit, and the green light was blinking, but it was so hit or miss I was ready to throw the lights and the triggers across the room. I've never had this kind of performance from the triggers/lights. It didn't seem to be one over the other light either. I had both my BX units as main/fill and 2 other Dlites on the BG. On my misfires, it wasn't that the fill worked and main didn't- the entire frame was black.

ideas? cuz I'm out of them

Interference? You mention the frame was black. Did the D-lites fail to fire as well? Maybe try a different frequency.

one light won't fire at all, regardless of channel setting, so that one will go in for service. Changed the channel on the transmitter and lights for next shoot.
