I walked for 8km today and took some photos with my new toy :D Traded 2 of my lenses and got a 4/3 format camera, an Olympus O-MD E-M5 with 12-50mm kit lens and Olympus 17mm f/1.8 :D

Are you going mirrorless or is this going to be your backup/walk around camera? I think these 4/3's has a niche. I don't mind telling you that sometimes I've wondered if this is the way to go.

I might go all the way, in fact I was actually planning to trade all my gear for a brand new setup then I checked the used ones here and they are damn nice, I got a mint condition one and I did not even need to sell all my stuff.

I still have my D700, Sigma 12-24mm and 70-300mm plus my big tripod. I will see if I really like the 4/3 system and might go all the way. So compact and small yet it can actually do almost everything a DSLR can do.

The big disadvantage is the Electronic viewfinder. it's not as fast as the real one. It's really nice for walk around though... people don't seem to mind you at all

Thanks Tito Jo

If I am back home I might never even consider scaling doen my gear too. With a car and all the comfort its prety much ok to have a heavy setup. Here I almost don't bring my camera with me anymore.
