Heres another from St Monans yesterday

5DII + TS-E 24II + Lee CPL + Lee GND. 9 Shots total. 3 shift left, 3 centre, 3 shift right. Bracketed exposures -2EV, 0, +2EV. 3 Panoramas stitched in photoshop (for each exposure) then one panaroma created from the 3 using SNS-HDR. No Tilt on this one. The colours you see here are pretty close to what was seen on the day, HDR created only to bring out the shadows.

C&C always welcome

^ I love the shades of the grass in this one.

So I have been trying out the demo of Nik Color Efx Pro 4, and I'm really impressed.

I've had version 3 for a couple years now, and just never used it because there were many filters I actually liked using.

However in version 4 some old ones are seriously improved and there are a couple nice new ones. Nothing you can't do with photoshop, which I also have, but it is so streamlined and easy in comparison. I'm thinking of upgrading.

My faves so far are the improved versions of 'Brilliance/Warmth', 'Pro Contrast', and the new "Detail Extractor"

They do a good job tweaking what I want to tweak without overly degrading the key shadow/highlight areas or over-emphasizing noise, all of which were problems for me in the 3rd versions of these filters.

In some cases I don't even visit Viveza anymore while using the demo of Color Efx 4.

some great examples!

Eddie, St Monans series is definitely worth waking up early for.

Eddie you're an evil person. You and Jordan both. I'm trying to save money and you guys keep posting stunning images. I keep telling myself that owning this lens won't change the fact that I live in the foothills of Mount Level and there's nothing but brown dirt to the horizons. Not much use for this lens. Then I come back to this thread and the urge to buy returns.

Evil people.....

:) that's how I ended up with this lens. Clicked the subscribe button on this thread then couldn't get away again. This thread and the 5d2 threads are probably my favourite on this forum.
