Here's one from my quick day trip to southern California. Hard not to stop here on the drive down the 101.

I used a Big Stopper plus a Lee 4x4 CPL and a Singh Ray Graduated Reverse Neutral Density filter for this shot.

First time using my big stopper since I got it a few months back.
I can see myself using it a lot more in the future...

anyone doing these with a 82mm thread filter?

I just bought the 24-70ii and am looking for a good filter.

There's a "Nisi" 10 stop ND on ebay but nobody seems to have any samples,

Help!
Thanks

Not used a screw in at 82mm, but use the big stopper at that size. Never heard of nisi. B+W and lee seem to be the most popular although there are some that use welding glass and get good results and it only costs a few bucks

B+W sells one in 82mm size...its $234...

Crazy that the 5mm difference from 77 to 82 equals almost 200% cost increase...

The normal manufacturing process at Schneider Optics don't support as large glass panels as 82mm which means that 82mm of the strongest ND filters are special order. Hence special price.

I learned something new today then...I never knew why 8smm were so freakin expensive...filter size is one of my main considerations for lens purchases...and lens rentals when I need them...

Was hoping to stay away from that one lol

I ordered the Nisi one, itll be an $85 gamble.. I'll put up some samples when I get it

I do have the B+W 77mm and it was great on my 24-105...

Just for the sack of completion may I ask some one place a few picture or link to some high ND images taken with cheapo filters? I am curious as to how much color change or distortion are done by those filters.
