what do you guys think of these? Perhaps the far cityscape one doesn't work as well? Also, is it generally frowned upon to post pictures in this forum taken with camera other than Canon?

I like the second shot the best. The first one seems too dark and or the effect need to more extreme. I shoot Nikon and post here all the time and have no issues. I used to shoot both Canon and Nikon but switched to Nikon only.

The top one I think needs to be blurred a little more to differentiate the plane of focus. The second one I don't think would work well for this method because the angle seems really small even though you're looking at a whole city skyline.

Thanks Julie!

It's only the T/S Blur in CS6 (so I guess I'm cheating) but I never had much luck with the Gaussian Blur + Mask method.
