Cool Geno

Thanks, Allen. Just trying to emulate the master. :) There sure are a lot of smokers in Chicago.

In Chinatown for sure. We have very strict smoking laws in this state so everyone has to smoke outside of public spaces. Thats why we see them all because they're outside.

Framing is weird on most of my portraits ;) I like it like that.

I just came across this thread. I have Leica-R 28/2.8, 35/2.8, 50/2, 90/2. All pretty old and used condition but glass is OK. I've been testing them on my 50D against some Contax glass - 28/2.8, 50/1.4, 100/3.5 (plus a CZJ 35/2.8). The Contax lenses have more contrast, but the Leica ones have that creamy smooth look I just don't get with anything else. The detail level on Contax/Leica is pretty much the same - I'm talking about the look, the IQ. I probably must be preaching to the converted here! Does this represent everyone's views here? I've seen a few reviews preferring Contax glass over Leica R, but I can't honestly see why. I do confess, though, that the 100/3.5 is very sharp and one I really like.

Andy
