I've ditched the keys, and emailed the seller for a refund. If he/she doesn't respond I'll open a case.

Did the keys not work? Or just have a change of heart?

Keys worked. What do you mean by change of heart? Like I said, if I found them to be fraudulent I'd not use them. Random opinions on an internet message board didn't play into it ;).

Given you've got the keys, ring Topaz up and see what they say about the validity. I'm curious about this one.

I'm curious. Assuming you didn't contact Topaz how did you determine them to be fraudulent?

Interesting. I remember when CS2 came out; my roommate (ah the single days) was a network/sys admin for an engineering firm. He had a program that would generate product keys, just turn it on and let it run. . . . . . .

Here's where I have a problem... when you purchased the "product" you weren't concerned about whether it was pirated or not, correct?

Now you received the product keys and validated the software otherwise you wouldn't know if they worked, correct?

But you're also asking the seller to refund your money and if they won't, you're going to file a claim against them to force the refund.

So now you have the software activated and expect it to be free? Nice

Anyone contact Topaz? They appear to have no phone customer service and the email address on there site says invalid when I tried to send one to them.

well, then guess this is on topaz?--tried your best to help them.

perhaps this is one reason the guy is selling the keys--he knew it would be pretty hard to get in trouble with topaz since they're unreachable?

It looks that way to me,I called Ebay and spoke to a rep and they said Topaz would have to report it since it is there software but they would look into it.Unreal.

It took them 4 days but got a email from Topaz.

"Sorry - this is an ebay scammer selling unauthorized and pirated copies of our software. Thanks for letting us know, though - I'll contact ebay to make sure that they're removed.

Also they told me they would give me some free software as a reward.:)
