I had bought the EOS-M a few months ago, but returned it since the cost was too much to justify the performance.

With the recent price drops ($629) for the M, the 18-55 lens and the 90EX flash, I bought it again. So far, the camera has proven to be great. If you disable the continuous AF, the focus speed is more than fast enough for most situations. Hopefully a firmware update will tweak it a bit further.

Cam101, Congrats on your re-purchase... You stole a good deal.. grrr.. XD My EOS M was on sale for 699.99.. =op

Hopefully you enjoying EOS M and post a beautiful pictures..

My M lenses, taken on the M with the FD 85 1.8 and 50 macro respectively. 90ex triggering off camera 320. One quibble with the M is that the flash won't meter with the old FD lenses attached, so you have to use manual power. [These shots are intentionally dark, but look too much so on my work monitor...]

WANT this camera. adapter for FD lenses....ebay? c'mon tax return any day now plz!

sounds like the AF not quite up to the challenge of shooting sports and the like.....think it's good enough to not miss too many shots of our two boys though? 5y and 11mo....wife's biggest problem with her iphone and p&s cameras is missing out on shots of the kids due to waiting for the camera to respond or focus. is it quick enough for keeping up with kids you think?

Bad idea. Sorry :/ It is an incredibly fun camera though.. the size is fantastic.

Actually my workmate with an OM-D said it can't really keep up with his kids... and that thing is a lot lot faster.

Have faith EOS_M owners, Canon will (may) save(??) us!: http://www.canonrumors.com …s-m-firmware-coming-soon/ (external link)

Anyways this is an image thread.. crop from the 22mm and a macaron macro:

Thanx, unless i got a resounding yes i figured as much. We have decided to go with the t4i instead. Canon, speed up your AF and i would be much more impressed! Sony has that function down to a science...cant believe i just said that but its true

Found the touch screen extremely handy when working through this photo. With the camera in portrait orientation on the tripod, I didn't have to fiddle with dials in awkward positions... all touch!
