Lookin' sharp there. Now the question is, does it perform the same at 10ft, 20ft, different light temps, etc.?

having received this lens at the start of the year I'm wondering how it will compare to the new sigma 30mm; I doubt it will surpass at 3x less $

I live in Toronto and I could only find one seller with 3 in stock. All the other camera stores were on back order.
They are flying off the shelfs here. Luckily I was one of the ones that got one of the last 3.

Got to try it out for the weekend and I am very satisfied with the lens! Sadly I had to send it back to lens rental today :( I will definitely pick up one for myself later this month though. The extra wider perspective definitely helped in some situation compare to my 50 1.4. and the DOF is very great and very sharp over when stopped down. I do notice my copy wasn't very consistent with the lighting when it got a bit darker but on all the outdoor shots it was great.

Long time lurker since I started my search for a better prime lens. You guys sold me on the Sigma 35mm, so I placed the order yesterday and was able to negotiate a small bundle with 2 day shipping. I'll get mine tomorrow. I can't wait to start shooting.

What is the best way to test if the focus is accurate? I've never owned a 1.4 lens before.

I hope for you it's going to fit well with your body. I would not buy used to save 50$. Anyway, with amazon you should not have trouble returning it if something wrong.

Amazon did not have any new, just 2 used that I could use Prime Shipping so I could get tomorrow for $3.99 more. Any other place to get it tomorrow would have cost an extra $40 on top of the new price. It was sold by Amazon so if I do not like it I can return it and buy a brand new one instead an still have the lens to use this weekend.
