Anyone else get their cool (and useful!) CPS gift recently?

Huh? A week in the woods? My idea of roughing it is a week in the Waldorf Astoria with no hot tub in my room. ;)

As to a big egg basket, it's much easier to lose a card once removed from camera. Heck, if they weren't so expensive I'd use two 64gb cards. They are ultra reliable. And should something untoward happen (which has happened to me twice through my own fault of not ejecting from computer) the recovery software Sandisk and Lexar make is so powerful I've never lost a pic, and I've been shooting digital since the introduction of the Nikon D100 and Canon 20D.

Well, I don't like having my eggs in baskets that large - I use 16gb cards and several 8GB cards.

Go out into the woods for a week or a trip with no laptop or other means of offloading your shots and you'll think differently. I also like to keep track of which cards are which, which a wallet helps.

I have two aluminum "wallets," one for my CF cards and one for SD cards. I don't really need a soft card holder. My concern is that I'm missing other communication from CPS.

Hoping I get one. I would love one of these. I am gold level and got a nice lanyard with 4 gig USB thumbdrive built into it and a Tshirt when I went to IUSA. That was a nice touch along with the free cleanings (no voucher required). This wallet would add to that.

Do you know for sure if they do that? Between selling the strap and the two free cleanings that you get, the membership almost pays for itself.

They do not. They have our info on file, if we let it expire and then do it, they just treat it as a renewal.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

Just an FYI - they changed the renewal kit last year. All you get on a renewal now is the free cleanings (Gold and Platnum) - no more book, strap, caps, etc on a renewal.
