Trolley Museum in Wheaton, MD. You can see some current stuff around Union Station in DC. There's a train yard on the Virginia side of the Potomac a bit North of National Airport, IIRC. If you're willing to drive a bit further, there's either the B&O RR Museum in Baltimore, or the O. Winston Link Museum and VA Museum of Transportation in Roanoke, VA. All three of the latter have web sites; I just don't recall the URLs off the top of my head. OWL is right by a bridge (with pedestrian access) across a major NS yard.

I didn't put pictures up from Christmas. Sorry. Life went nuts on me. Here are a few.

Beautiful reflecting pool was not empty or frozen this year. Wonderful sunset.

One of my best buddies for all things photography, Jon. Thanks for meeting me there.

Here are a couple I've done recently. These are of the Oakton HS Girls Varsity Basketball team.

Oakton vs Centreville, Jan 18. Oakton won, 65-48.

If the weather's bad and you'd like to shoot a variation on that theme, http://brrm.net/ (external link) says they have a 1700 sq ft HO scale model of the B&O railroad.

Would you mind if a yankee from PA joined you? I'd be interested, if the date works with my schedule.

As posted in the MD thread:

Festival dates are Mar. 20-Apr. 14 (external link). We generally wait til somewhat closer to the start to see when predicted peak blooms are going to be. And we typically meet down by the Paddle Boat station on the Tidal Basin (across from Jefferson Memorial).
