These are a bit soft and the first one may even be out of focus. Also, they seem a little bit over processed in my opinion.

On a better note, your timing seems spot on and you did a great job capturing the action here.

Always do right, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

yup thats what i get for owning a bleh 75-300 lens lol, it came with the bundle with my camera.... wanted to get 18-270 lens, pretty sure would be much better than 75-300 but right now im tight with money, i deleted alot of photos from there cuz of too many out of focus pics. This lens can frustrate me sometimes.

also it was at f5.6.... and i looked around on google and found out if i go to f8-f11 then it would be sharper photo..... true?

All depends on available light.

not necessarily true. f6.3 or 7.1 would give you more "depth of field", going higher can introduce problems (diffraction)

Consider getting the 55-250IS - it's frequently on sale (new) for $150

XSi (450D)
Canon 50-250IS
f5.6
1/250
ISO 200
250mm (cropped)

ahhhh alright, thanks for the info :) i might have to wait couple of months, im making payments on my camera right now thru qvc, like i said im very tight with money since im unemployed, it sucks :/ on lens thread not alot of people helped me that i posted there... i plan to get 18-250 or 18-270 when i paid off my camera. I asked if anybody know any site that does monthly payments? since qvc doesnt offer many choices of lens. thanks

For me (on the east coast) good surf pics require sunlight coming in towards the front of the surfers so that means shooting in late afternoon
