I have been reading(viewing the amazing photos rather) POTN for sometime. I joined recently with the hope that the guys who post here can give me an advice or two about photography in general and birding in particular. Apart from the photos, the discussions about wildlife and the respect posters here have for nature are truly knowledgeable and inspiring.
I have some stupid question:
If I am looking for comments\advice about a photo that I took(is it too dark, is it sharp enough or can I improve with my body\lens combination, post editing etc) I should be posting here, no? Not in the photo sharing section?
Also, beginners like me will often take picture of a bird we don't recognize, and we can't google for images or compare with pictures from the web because we were not able to get a clear photo, or the one we saw is a juvenile etc but we would like to get the bird's ID to study about its location and behavior before we go and try to get a better shot. So if I post a photo asking for ID and I don't get a comment(maybe because members who recognize it have not seen the post yet) in 4 or so days, can I bump my post up?
