I know this is quite a necro-post, but yes, I do have a D30 and brought it to the Lake Apopka Wildlife drive yesterday.

I just bought a D30 on eBay with “buy it now” for only $25. https://www.ebay.ca …ksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 (external link)
I am not sure if it will even work but I couldn’t pass it up at that price.

For me it has some sentimental historical collector value since it is Canon's first "home grown" digital SLR. I will get an honored spot sitting on the shelf beside my EOS film camera collection. (650, 620, 630, 750, RT, EF-M, A2, 5, 1000FN, IX, 7NE, T2)

That's the reason I bought one. I also wanted to see how it compared to modern camera bodies! It's a bit difficult to use but it IS fun when you get some nice results from it.
I also know that it's a ticking time bomb. Any photo that I take with it COULD be the LAST phot it takes! But I'm going to dig it out and use it from time to time until it kicks the bucket!
