I agree with Flo about the crop being too tight. Also, friendly horses don't pin their ears back! Cute horse, but he looks like one of my horses at feeding time. Did you get any shots with the ears in the forward position?

I'm assuming the perspective distortion is on purpose and you wanted the exaggerated snout/muzzle? That assumed, the green background and blue sky is very pretty and looks very nice with the horse's coat. I do find the crop to be a bit tight, and the horses ears should be forward, not back, but overall, it is a nice image.

I think it is a nice image.
I would not use that very heavy vignette... seems like the head is floating!
