Has anyone got their sigma lens calibrated lately?

I currently have my new sigma 35mm 1.4 and T2i boxed up ready to send off to sigma service center in NY for lens calibration. I wanted to know what their turnaround times are like these days? I have an important event coming up next month and wouldn't want to be without my camera.

I did it a couple of months ago at the Canadian service center.

I asked to if they can do a rush since I needed it for an event and they turned it around in 48 hours. With shipping it took me 5 days there and back.

I did early last year (30mm) and had a GMR sensor repair on a 17-50mm in November. Both were turned around in a day. Of course shipping there & back you have to account for.

I would ship it UPS & track it. When it arrives, wait a half day & call to confirm they received it.

In the past 3 months my 50 1.4 has been to Sigma NY 2 times, it was never with them for more then a few days. It seems it had some shipping damage on the return, the first of the two trips.

This sounds good! BTW, aside from the box, did the lens come back better or worse?

I sent in a lens for calibration last week. Is it possible to track the status online?

I just sent in an 85mm. They got it on a Friday. Calibrated it the same day. Shipped it back out to me the following Monday. This was from the New York facility.

This is the second lens I have sent to them in NY. Same great service both times.
