The last day of the Amgen race will begin in the Marina Green at around 8:15am and finish up in Santa Rosa.

I had a chance recently to go to the top of the new Bay Bridge Tower. While the scaffolding can be a bit shakey...

the view from the top isn't bad... ;-)a

... how? I'd love to do a time lapse with that view!

I always wanted to get a shot from the south tower of the GGB. I did go part way up Sutro, but never the bridge. :(

Hey everyone! I'm with my girlfriend and left Montreal for a huge road trip! We are in Oregon right now and will probably be in San Francisco in two days. Anyone up to show us around, shoot and have fun?

Just let us know, we found someone from POTN in Seattle and had lots of fun!

Thanks :)

Ah, as am I. I'm currently trying to build a small database with the Metabones Speedbooster, If you'd like to assist I could always use more lenses to test out!

Well Boys and Girls, are any of you denizens of the night?
There's a Meetup group getting together this Saturday evening at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo.
Anybody up for it? As far as the signup sheet shows, there should be at least 20 other photogs there.
But the place is big enough that 50 photogs could be there, and not even see each other.

Out of curiosity, is anyone in the South Bay just starting with strobes and studio lighting? I started purchasing my first gear and I'm going to attempt head & shoulders styled photography (portraits / Beauty). It might be nice to meet other noobs and meet up and shoot together. Maybe go 50/50 on an experienced model, or even rent a local space for a few hours. Or we could meet at my place since our living room will be where I do most of my practicing. I don't drive, so I don't have the luxury of transporting bulky / heavy gear around.

Just curious to see if anyone would be interested.

I could be into something like that, I live in Los Gatos.

Can anyone recommend a good location to photograph the bay area at sunrise/sunset? I'm specifically looking for a view from atop the mountains on the Peninsula side of the bay. I can't tell you how many times I've driven down 92 from 280 and wondered where I could pull over to snap a shot of the awesome view.

I prefer Pachelbels lesser known work, Canon in L and the 99 cent menu club.
