I sent an email to my concierge at Amazon and unfortunately they will only price match for 7 days. I have to say Amazon really has some great customer service despite not hearing what I wanted to hear.

On the plus side I've been enjoying my camera for the past 9 days and could not be happier with it. I ordered this book from their Kindle store and it has really helped me understand this camera much, much faster than I would have on my own using the Canon manual.

Same experience, they basically told me to pound sand. Despite that, I love Amazon and love the 6D, so no loss!

Looks like the 6D has some protection built in against counterfeit or should i dare say 3rd party batteries.

Picked up a Lenmar LP-E6 and got the "communication with the battery is irregular" error. Still works on the camera but no levels.

Worse part is, the charger won't even charge the battery. Just keeps flashing continuously. Guess have to pony up for genuine ones.

I thought I read somewhere (possibly in this thread) that the Wassabi Power batteries work with it? I'd like to know this too since those are my 3rd party batteries of choice with my other cameras

Woo hoo, I love B&H photo. Ordered my 6D on 1/14 for 2699. Two weeks later they gave me a 200 buck credit as the price dropped. Today, the 15th they credited my account another 100 bucks as the price is only 2399 now. Nice huh?

Not an advertisement for them, I usually purchase from a local camera store and a couple of times from Adorama.

Am off to spend that money on accessories

Wow, nice. I bought mine right after Xmas, so I was just outside the 30 day window for price matching. Typical of my luck, though. Still, the 6D has been worth every penny.

Same with Best Buy. I'm a silver reward member so they do price match for 60 days. I'll be buying my 24-70mm f/4 IS from them just for that reason alone. I know short after I buy it its gonna drop in price.
