I know Adorama is a reputable business and I have bought from them in the past. However I just returned a new lens to them that I only had a couple of days. I filled out their online return form and included all paperwork. Per UPS, they received my package early yesterday AM, yet I haven't received an acknowledgment of my return. I have emailed two inquiries, but they haven't responded. I am getting a little nervous. Should I be?

they took a kind of a long time to process my return. You can give them a call if worried, so you should be good.

Don't be nervous - search Adorama in the forum and you will see plenty of Adorama fans (myself included) if you are real nervous - message forum member HelenOster - she is a CS rep there - always very quick to respond!

Be patient and all should go fine. After all you are not dealing with an ebay seller or BestBuy!

Adorama has the WORST refund service time frame and communication. Call them. I bit again this year and tried them for a big purchase and have had nothing but hassle. Had to file a ticket with Amazon.

The lens I got was broken and they told me I still am paying the 70$ overnight shipping. Just filed another ticket for that nonsense. They weer also very rude on the phone, but luckily amazon put them in their place.
This happen last year too, and again Amazon took care of it. Both times my item arrived defective. (Ironically both times I ordered a Sigma).

I only trust BHphoto and Amazon directly.

I think you are rushing a little bit, considering it was just delivered yesterday. I'd give them more time . I'm sure it will be good.

As per the adorama website:

http://www.adorama.com/help/returnPolicy (external link)
Please allow up to eight business days after we receive the package for your return/exchange/refund to be processed. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you once the return is processed.

If you still need help with this, please email me with your original order number and return tracking number and I can do my best to hurry up the processing for you - or at least find ut where in the system it may be lurking!

I'm so very sorry that this was your experience - and only wish I'd known about this at the time.

I do like ordering from Adorama and this is the first time I returned anything. I didn't like the fact there isn't an RMA # to sort of track your return. And I did email them a total of 3 times and never once did they respond. I finally called and very nice girl was helpful and reassuring. The following day, I did receive confirmation of my return. I was uneasy with the process, no fault of Adorama; probably it was me because this was my first (and hope only) return.

Thanks to all.

No, Manila. But not all of them - not me!! There is still a core team in the NYC office
