Just got my first Canon T1 digital camera and wondering if a couple of the older flashes I have would be compatible .
I'm trying to find out what the tigger voltage on this camera is but no amount of searching has turned up any results .
Will it handle something around 200 w or does it only handle low voltage around 6???

This is a photo from 2009. I've switch to newer cameras since and I dont even own a 10-22 anymore, but I was culling the archives when I found this. This was taken in Cambodia.

Only low voltage flashes are compatible. Anything over 6 volts will fry the electrics in your 500d.
Any of the Canon EX flashes will work, I use an older 380ex, which I picked up very reasonably on a well known online auction site.
