What focus screens are you all using for manual focus? I might get a 1Dx soon but need a different screen so I can focus my Zeiss lens better instead of replacing them.

Pardon my asking.

But... I'm curious as to why you're going to throw $6000-6500 on a camera designed with the most advanced autofocus for any DSLR to date for action/sports, and then completely nullify and gimp it by shooting MF?

Yes... Zeiss lenses are awesome. There's no disputing that. But why not just stick with the 5D2? What would preclude your need for the 1DX?

I don't think Zeiss lenses are weather sealed so can't really make an argument for weather-proofing of the 1D body. I would argue that the high iso noise is probably 1 to 1.5 stops at best above 12800.

Un-ignorant-fy me if you don't mind.

I have other lens than the Zeiss ones, the 1Dx gives me great FPS speed and high ISO that I want to replace both my 5DII and 7D. I'm tired of having 2 bodies that I rarely use better for me just to have one.

I may just get a 5DIII but would get rid of the 2 Zeiss lens for some AF lens. I have a very hard time getting focus on the Zeiss lens. The high ISO on the 1Dx blows even the 5DIII away I have seen examples of it.

I shoot birds and sports some times so FPS is important to me and ISO is always important I just need to decide how much money I want to spend.

I have thought of getting rid of all my DSLR gear I use my mG1x most of the time but I am waiting to see if canon brings out a EOS M with a EFV like the Olympus OMD-EM5. I really don't shoot much any more but I do like to have great images when I do.

Test this camera out at the store, what a beast. If I can afford one, I would buy it without any questions.
