24mm could be fun, or a 17-40 if you shoot landscapes or architecture. it depends on what you shoot.

I would actually suggest a 24-70/105 assuming your on full frame.

cant hurt to try the pancake, near opposite of the 24-70... super light, and not very flexible being a rather slow prime.

35F2 was fun while I had it.

the 24-70 sounds great for that, i'd suggest picking one up  (in a certain sense I'm actually being serious though....)

If you want something that is a bit more interesting than the 24-70, I'd try a wide like a sigma 35 or even a 24L.

24L, 35L, 85L, or 50L prime lens would make you enjoy take pics from crop, street photography, landscape, portrait, and night time. If you are going use prime lens, you need to crop a lot.

BOKEH!

I faced the same situation.I sold my 24-70L for a
Canon EF16-35 f 2.8 L II USM
and I am very pleased with the change.

When I bought 24-70 last year, It was cheaper than 16-35 but as it was discontinued, now it is more expensive than the 16-35. so I earned 200$ in the deal!

why am I happy?

1-the 16-35 mark II is as sharp as 24-70, and as fast as it too.
2-I use my camera for landscape and parties, so I needed a wider lens.
3-The 16-35 is smaller and much lighter than 24-70.

:D
