A flash to bounce definitely helps A LOT when you are trying to freeze action of your kids. Also allows you to stop down a little so that more of their face is in focus. I can't wait to get out and try mine but it is hard when it is raining and I am working nghts.... Yep, it's a pretty popular look nowadays, for better or for worse... lots of photo pre-set packs loaded with that kind of stuff. A lot of wedding photos look like that now too.
