That bokeh is gatorriffic! Speaking of bokeh, its funny how it changes to triangles on the far edges with this lens. I dig it.

It makes those triangles. Took this in same location wide open. There are few more triangles near edges.

You are obviously having fun with this lens. Pretty sharp over much of the image for f1.4! What was the shutter speed and ISO for this shot. Any flash?

I have $150 saved so far, so hopefully I buy this lens within a couple of weeks, for I sure did love it when I had it before.

Yeah. Keep 'em coming! I'll post a few this weekend when I get home from Washington, DC. This was the first real chance I've had to take pictures other than to test the lens to make sure it was OK, so I'm excited to see them on my HD monitor. These are mostly indoor museum shots. Indoors is the main reason I got the lens. For outside in good light I'll continue to use my 15-85 USM.

Decided to try some test shots with my new copy. I needed some more light, but the clouds today weren't cooperating.

First rule of photography. If you have a cute woman to photograph, ditch shooting batteries ..LOL.

Exposure value are 1/80, 1.4, 320 and no flash. Not sure why much of the image is sharper at 1.4. I focused on number plate on the side which is not that sharp. Do we get different DOF with pictures taken with 1/80, 1.4, 200 and 1/4000, 1.4, 200 exposure everything else being equal.

Hi Maizzi,
Very cute. Your copy is very sharp in the middle.
